Automatic screen optimization in Google for Mobile
Roger Skubowius, a software engineer, proudly the new functionality of Google for Mobile devices like cellphone. I call this function as "Automatic Screen Optimization". In contrast, it is a kind of reformatting HTML result to fit the screen on your devices. That means Google has the result page in its cache and the default action is not to open the original website but to open the cache itself in reformatted form. Why? Roger gave an example when the search result is graphics-rich page, Google for Mobile will cut some piece of them to show you. He guess that users like to search for such a text and they definitely want to read more text.
I’m not sure this idea will work well for today since some information are just an image! Actually, I don’t know it is a new or not but it significantly increases usability of end-users on mobile devices as long as content providers know how to publish information to Google wisely.
