AllPeers in Ubuntu Dapper #2
Today, in the morning, AllPeers has been upgraded to AllPeers Beta 0.40. I have not tested the issue of conflict to FoxyProxy yet buy I have tried to share my files and folders with my friends. The user interface is still too complicate in my opinion. It would be better to have tabular interface like eMule or something like that. Anyway, download speed is quite good even only one peer (me and my friend). However, as I mentioned above, thumbnail icon list is not efficient for large amount of shared files.
I also found an issue during the test. It was when I wanted to remove a file that I downloaded from my friend. That file was shown in the same icon list without download link. It implicitly meant that file was already downloaded. Then I clicked remove to remove it in my local disk. It worked as I expected and the file was also removed from the icon list forever. In other words, I can't download what I removed until that file is shared to me again.
Good news! AllPeers team has just allowed all testers to invite friends as many as they want including me. I'm starting to invite more friends. Yesterday, I could not connect to my friend since both of us were behind NAT. But today, it rocks!!!!! See you in AllPeers.
