Applying Grid in E-Government
E-Government means to manage large amount of distributed data in a country and all offices around the world. There are many areas to implement Grid in E-Government sector.
- Distributed database - Since there are so many private information of all populations, it would be better to store data of each people at the branch office where they belong to. By using this approach, the main office will not be overloaded by querying during high traffic condition.
- Secure data provider - Some information are private, some information are public, and some information are restricted public. In other words, some information are allowed to ask for as long as the requester has sufficient permission. Grid could be used to identify the identity of the requester to make sure who he is.
- Integrated services - It is also called one-stop service. This is an extension of secure data provider. That means you are allowed to process some requests which required additional steps at other departments immediately no matter where you are.
