Pune based Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) Director General S Ramakrishnan today said the C-DAC would establish ’grid computing system’ at 14 locations in 40 institutions during current year.

Addressing the press at 93rd Indian Science Congress (ISC) here, Mr Ramkrishnan said the C-DAC was making all arrangments to set up the grid computing system which would help to aggregate all computers through high speed data and the clusters would be connected to the grid.

He said the grid would find solutions to the problems faced by the end users.

He said the grid computing system would also help to know the information of disaster management and bio-informatics to the users.
