The first anniversary and the new version
To all readers, I'm very glad to announce the first anniversary of this site. At that time, I just want to have a place to store my experiences to share with everyone else and I would like to try Drupal. One year later, Drupal proved itself as the one and only one CMS choice for me because of its high quality code and community.
According to new year period and the anniversary, I have upgraded this site to Drupal 5.0 RC1 to try it early. The reason behind this decision is to initiate the driving force to myself for contributing something to Drupal community. What can I do for Drupal? Since Drupal 5.0 is coming very soon, many modules are not ported to the new APIs yet. I just force myself to help other module maintainers to make some patches at least all modules I used for the past year. That's my way to live in this wild world. So please be patience if you get something inconvenience in this site during this period. For example, some texts may be not formatted correctly or some links are broken. Those are the thing I used for pushing me to contribute as fast as possible to make this site perfect.
Another reason to upgrade early is to promote the ease of Drupal and its upgrading mechanism. Upgrading seems to be pretty easy but actually not at all for some software packages. Version control used in Drupal is powerful enough to handle upgrading from any versions. Whenever all modules used in this site has been ported, it would be the great time to let all end-users upgrade.
