The official announcement has been posted at the . It is not absolutely the new idea for specific search topic like this. There are so many financial search engine right now, e.g., , FinanceWise, TraderBot, and . Wait a minute! Google Finance is not as simple as all existing services. Below are noticeable differences at a glance.

1. It is totally free of charge.
2. It is AJAX!
3. Real-Time statistics, graph, and history with interactive zoom panel
4. Integrated headline news into historical graph. Cool!!!!!!
5. Integrated company facts, summary, financial data, management team with avatar, related companies, and blog posts

Don’t underestimate the power of the AJAX! You have to see the page of . Stock quote is one of time-dependent historical data. In fact, I have never bought any stock quote. I just know a bit how to play them nicely. The most essential key is the news because they are very gossip-sensitive. When you read new news related to a stock quote, you have to estimate the response of the market from the historical data. The idea is to find similar news topics in the past to see their effect. Other financial search engines including Yahoo! Finance only provide text-based historical data. Google Finance uses the same technique in  that you can watch amount of search query according to news.

Blog posts in Google Finance are not associated into the graph yet. It seems Google tried to filter only high-quality news agency to show up in the graph. Actually, they are taken from Google News. This is just a start of time-dependent search result.  is going to be the next big thing. Imagine that you can see search results in time series and in calendar view. In addition, you are able to star some search results by just blogging them somewhere. Your blog entries may appear in Google Finance someday.
