Port Forwarding for Micronet Router

Micronet router, broadband router or ADSL router, supports customizable port forwarding through web-based administration interface. The default IP of Micronet router is 10.0.0.2. You should see a user/password dialog. If it is your first time, the username is admin and the password is epicrouter by default.

The port forwarding configuration is in Configuration / Virtual Server on the left menu. So you have to fill 5 textboxes and choose a radiobutton as follows.

  1. ID
  2. Public Port - Start
  3. Public Port - End
  4. Private Port
  5. Port Type
  6. Host IP Address

ID is any number that is identical to all entries. The main part of port forwarding are Public Port and Private Port. Public Port means to port range that is accessible on the router to other parties. Then the ports are mapped onto the IP specified in Host IP Address one by one starting at Private Port. For example, you want to forward a port range 16681-16689 to 6681-6689 on 10.0.0.11. So the values must be as follows.

  1. ID = 2
  2. Public Port - Start = 16681
  3. Public Port - End = 16689
  4. Private Port = 6689
  5. Port Type = TCP
  6. Host IP Address = 10.0.0.11

As a result, incoming TCP packet received by the router on port 16681-16689 will be forwarded to IP 10.0.0.11, respectively.

This instruction works well with Micronet SP3351, SP3354, and SP3 series.
