However, encoding 3GP on non-mobile phone is a kind of science. You need to set the appropriate profile to obtain acceptable quality. Below is what I found.

High Quality

• video codec = h263
• width = 176
• height = 144
• video bitrate = 64 kbps
• frame rate = 15 fps
• audio codec = amrnb
• audio bitrate = 32 kbps
• sample rate = 8000 Hz
• channels = mono

Low Quality

• demuxer = mov
• video codec = h263
• width = 176
• height = 144
• video bitrate = 30 kbps
• frame rate = 5.812 fps
• audio codec = amrnb
• audio bitrate = 12 kbps
• sample rate = 8000 Hz
• channels = mono
