I wrote A Visual Installation Guide on Sneak Preview SAP NetWeaver 04 ABAP Edition. By now, there is the newer version so it should be updated to match the new instalation wizard. Anyway, the new version is very similar to the old one. There is no noticable difference during installation. I will just let you know about my machine.

Cool? For me, this is very cool! My machine can install this sneak preview. Note that it took me about 12 hours from noon to midnight (I used my machine to read e-mails and to browse webs during installation so it might decrease installation speed). Furturemore, I have to wait for 5 minutes to let the server start successfully. Not too bad.

I have just uninstalled the Sneak Preview to reinstall it again using below procedure.

1. Open folder \SAPNW2004sSneakPreviewABAP\Installation_Master
2. Run SAPinst.bat
3. Press Next button in License Agreement screen
4. Press Next button to accept System ID NSP
5. Specify Domain Model to Local installation and press Next button
6. Specify password of SAP System Administrator and SAP System Service User and press Next button
7. Specify password of account superdba and account control and press Next button
8. Leave default database parameters so press Next button to continue
9. Specify Log Volumes to C:\ at 100 MB and press Next button
10. Specify Data Volumes to C:\ at 9100 MB and press Next button
11. Specify password of Database Schema and press Next button
12. Press Next button
13. Verify the parameters and press Start button
