Wow! Google Talk has just  with avatar and theme support. This version is numbered as 1.0.0.92. There are 2 noticeable look and feel changing. Now you can see avatar and, of course, you can set your avatar using your own photo. Not just that simple thing, you can change look and feel of the chat window.

Well, most IM offers you to change avatar anytime anywhere. You can even change background, font, and lots more of the chat window. By the way, you will never be able to change how the texts are aligned inside chat window. Google Talk lets you change how contents in chat window could be formatted. These themes are a kind of CSS. I wish to be able to create my own theme. It would be a lot better.

Another change is the buttons and Gmail counter at the bottom of the main window. You can add friends, change the view and see how many mails are available in Gmail at a glance.

If you didn’t notice, Google Talk knows who your close friends are. If you choose to see friend list in one page, Google Talk will sort your friends by talk frequency. The most you talk is listed first. I like this feature the most. Grouping is not necessary as long as I see the one I like the most at the top of the list.
