Port Forwarding for LevelOne WBR-3407A and WBR-3407B

LevelOne WBR-3407 series is a Wireless 54 Mbps ADSL2+ router with 4 port 10/100 Mbps. There are 2 models: WBR-3407A and WBR-3407B depending on country. Most LevelOne’s router do not support full-feature port forwarding, instead it supports limited virtual server concept. To set port forwarding in this router series, there are 2 choices.

  1. DMZ
  2. Virtual Servers

Choosing an appropriate choice depending on application you want to run. If the application is one of standard services such as web, ftp and e-mail, you can choose any choice. However, in case of you want to run BitTorrent or any P2P efficiently, you must choose DMZ instead.

By default, WBR-3407 is accessible by http://192.168.0.1/ with username admin and password password.

To setup DMZ, go to Advanced Features / Internet menu. All you can do is just specify which PC you want to forward incoming packets to. You can forward to only one PC.

To setup Virtual Servers, go to Advanced Features / Virtual Servers menu. At this point, choose your services, PC and enable this feature. That’s all you can do.

I think the port forward feature of WBR-3407A is broken

I've tried this in countless different ways. Behind my Level One wireless AP, I have a web server which I'd like to be reachable from the outside. I've tried both the Virtual Servers and the DMZ approach described above. On top of that, I tried the "Special Applications" registration, and the "Firewall Rules" manual configuration. I've also installed a new firmware I got from the Thai distributors of this brand, and which by the way is newer than whatever is available on the Level One website. None of that works.

same

exact problem with no success big disappointment from level one :(

I have the same problem! I

I have the same problem! I may not be that good with computers but i've tried EVERYTHING. I just want to throw my router out the window.

use router as a modem

I have not used the router as a router anymore. Instead, it is just a modem connected to a linux server. This router is not suitable for high load.
