The state of the Tor

I have just read Anonymity Network by SRAN regarding the useless of end-to-end encryption in term of hiding routing information. In other words, encryption in BitTorrent protocol is useless because network guys are still able to track the connection from source IP address and destination IP address. These information cannot hide easily. So the hero is Tor which is an overlay network on top of existing network like Internet. The most important factor that made Tor success is Tor routers available in the Internet.

It is not easy to explain the state of Tor routers on earth. You should go to see directly at Google Map of Tor Routers. The map clearly shows large number of Tor routers in USA and Europe. There are only small number of Tor routers in other regions including Thailand. In fact, there is only one Tor routers in Thailand and it is just an ADSL connection. In some areas, Tor is prohibited. Sometimes, ISPs in Thailand do not allow their subscribers to access Tor site to prevent the use of Tor. What Tor will do this year?
