Voice over IP, VoIP, is a trend for very near future. There are so many VoIP standards but the key component for developing a VoIP application is the voice codec. Standard voice codecs are not as good as acceptable comparing to telephone quality. Most of good and great codecs are patented. Fortunately,  gives high-quality GIPS from Global IP Sound to all of us free of charge. Though, if you concern about licensing, Libjingle 0.3.0  the high-quality GIPS or GIPS Voice Engine Lite which is totally free.

Some people deployed Google Desktop but not Google Sidebar. I don’t know why because I love Google Sidebar. Anyway, it was a bit difficult to access Desktop Search when you want. Google realized that and . Whenever you want to search for anything in desktop, just simple press Ctrl key twice. You might see Quick Search Box and then press Ctrl key twice again to hide the box.

GDPSetup.exe is a file bundled with some ’s plug-ins, e.g.,  and . Usually, you don’t need to worry about install/uninstall each plug-in. However, you might be interesting to run it by yourself. There are two options; install and uninstall. To install, run it as below.

GDPSetup.exe -install

We all know what Google is. Google is the most popular search engine right now. It has indexed large amount of contents from around the net and it aims to index all information. I have just clearly realized what they are trying to do. In fact, we can classify all information in this world into 2 classes; public and private. Public contents are the major parts however, they are not the whole parts at all. The key is the later one, private contents.

If we think in more detail what private contents are, they are very simple to identify private contents. Private contents mean that they are only accessible by authorized persons. Actually, most authorized persons are the one who pay for private data. That’s it!

Google has acquired . So what is Writely? Writely is a word processor running on your browser. It is AJAX-based application aka Web 2.0. The Writely team announced this news at both  and . Though, they said it is still in beta state. You could apply for notification when it is ready. As far as I know, there are so many AJAX word processor available since last year. Writely seems to be the best one chosen by Google as a part of them.
