Drupal 4.7.0 RC 2 available
According to the official announcement, Steven expected that RC2 would be the last release candidate. Anyway, I didn’t upgrade howforge.com to RC1 yet so the plan is to upgrade to the official 4.7.0 when it is available in next few weeks.
To help Drupal development, I will upgrade my test instance running in VMware to make sure it works. Go to get it right now at http://drupal.org/files/projects/drupal-4.7.0-rc2.tar.gz.

Patch for LDAP Integration module in Drupal 4.7
According to the previous post, the patch is not complete for all functions. I found a problem according to attributes mapping. The attributes changed in Drupal are not synchronized to LDAP because of missing some options in administer interface. So below is the new patch.

How to Integrate LDAP to Drupal
Today I have an urgent duty to integrate LDAP authentication to Drupal. Fortunately, ldap_integration module saved my life. Anyway, in order to make it work under Drupal 4.7.0 beta 6, I have to patch a bit regarding _user_authenticated_id(). This function has been replaced by a constant value DRUPAL_AUTHENTICATED_RID.

Drupal 4.7.0 RC1 is out!
After so long waiting for a few months, Drupal 4.7.0 RC1 is out there. Hopefully, this is the last release candidate so we could see Drupal 4.7.0 full release very soon. I will upgrade howforge.com tomorrow. Unfortunately, there is another one critical issue left in queue. So we should see RC2 shortly.

Pontomail Webmail Client for Drupal
Simply is the best! Do you ever want to have a good webmail client for internal use only? It should be tightly integrated into your intranet website, e.g., single password and single sign-on. Most of all, it must not be too heavy but effective and easy enough for end-users. Actually, it depends on what your intranet software is. I do recommend you to try Drupal. Drupal has everything you want. And it also has a module to serve a simple webmail client providing single sign-on for you and your colleagues.
