One reason that I like Post2Blog is the way of link creation, especially tag link, e.g. Technorati and Wikipedia. This functionality is not available in Firefox yet or Drupal yet. So I have to find a good replacement and finally I found Interwiki module. Anyway, this module doesn't support Technorati tag in nature but there is a patch to make it support rel attribute. However, that patch can't be applied against latest code in CVS due to new form api in Drupal 4.7 and lots more (Interwiki is a bit old). Luckily, everything is opensource so I patched them manually. If you have read my blog for a half year, you might notice that the update rate has slowed down for a month. The main reason is I switched to Ubuntu and I don't have [Post2Blog][1]. Actually, I used Post2Blog for a half year without problem. Unfortunately, I'm now on Ubuntu. No more windows applications from now on. .Net applications may be compatible to Mono but I don't want to waste my time to try it out. So I have to find a new off-line blog publishing tool for Linux. I found several candidate but none of them officially support Drupal and my blog engine is Drupal.

To all you are looking for blog client software for Windows, Post2Blog is my recommendation. You must try to see how it help you write good blogs extremely fast. Well, you may think that built-in visual editor like TinyMCE or FCKeditor are good enough. Believe me, you don’t know the power of the blog client.

Eventually, Post2Blog 1.20.1 has been released out of beta right now. In addition, ByteScout also released the freeware version of Post2Blog named Post2Blog Express. Comparing to non-free version, express edition doesn’t include below features.
