Choosing a Blog Engine (Part 2)

In part 1, you should now already choose what you want your blog look like and how you work with. For my case, Blogger.com is not suitable becuase I am not SEO expertiest so I will often change layout for sure. Let me take you to next question.

The second question is how to organize posts in my new blog. What I mean is a kind of category. I don"t think that my blog will have only single topic for all posts. In fact, every posts are, in my mind, classified to a kind of hierarchical categories. By this way, posts in same topic are kept together and easier to be found by search engine.

Choosing a Blog Engine (Part 1)

Once you are looking for a blog engine for your site, what is the criteria to choose the right one. I did so long research before made a decision. Let me start from the beginning.

The first question in my mind is what I want to do with new blog. It"s very interesting. What I want to do is not just blog engine. It would be able to let me management contents and change layout efficiently. Actually, I am still a big fan of Google"s product so I started my first blog at Blogger.com. If you are not familiar to blog engine, web-hosting, and any adminitrating related topic, you could use this free service. Anyway, the most disadvantage of Blogger.com is that all contents are generated and published to anywhere you please. It works just fine for blog with small posts or you will never change layout anymore. If you are examining layout and oftenly change it over time, don"t use Blogger.com. The right blog engine for you must on-line generate pages at runtime so you don"t need to regenerate all pages after changing a few bytes in layout template.

Affiliate Summit Kicks Off in Las Vegas

By Shawn Collins; Jan 8, 2006, 03:17

The Affiliate Summit 2006 show started up today at Bally’s Las Vegas. The events began at noon with a workshop on Google AdSense by Joel "Dr. AdSense" Comm. This was followed by another workshop on blogging from famed blogger, Dave Taylor.

In the evening, hundreds of folks assembled for the speed networking session. This was one of the highly anticipated events of the conference, and the attendees seemed to really enjoyed the spirited, short meetings with eight people each in the span of two hours.

R.O.Wise and MediaWhiz sponsored this session and generously provided an open bar to lubricate the conversations.

Double Revenue from AdSense

Take a look! It would be better if you just blend AdSense color, size, and placement into your content.

Now, how easy would it be to raise that 1% to 2%? That’s not a very big jump by any means. Quite likely, you could jump to 2% or even 3% by doing nothing more than tweaking your AdSense colors, ad size and/or placement. Little tweaks. Tiny tweaks. Nothing major at all.

I am trying to claim this site at Technorati. The first try is to embed JavaScript into my site. Unfortunately, it turned out that I got "xmlhttp is undefined" in IE and the same one for FireFox. Then I have to skip to next step by this post to include a link to my profile at Technorati Profile.
