Adsense Notifier

I have used Adsense Status for Google Deskbar for sever months without any critical issues. However, now I'm on Ubuntu so there is no Google Deskbar here. By the way, there should be this kind of thing available on Ubuntu to help me realize latest status of my revenue at a glance during work hours. I found Adsense Notifier for Firefox. It is a good one but I still think Adsense Status looks better.

Monitoring blog and tracking AdSense clicks

Are you own any blogs? Do you want to track your blog statistics? There are so many things you might want to know to improve user experiences. For example, browsers, platforms, geography, screen resolution, post views, comments summary, comments by post, categories, adsense clicks, referrers, search engines, outbound links and many more. Some of these metrics are just for blogs, e.g., posts, comments and categories. So simple page counters don’t fit into this duty.

How Technorati Helps You

According to larry’s request, it is a long story so I explain how Technorati works in this separate post instead of so long comment. Technorati is actually a specific search engine focusing on providing service involving blog, blog, and blog. Generally, search engine is a key component of surfing Internet today. Nobody knows where the information they are looking for are, especially blog. Blog is not just old fashion web content but in fact, it could be categorized as up-to-date content. In other words, blogs are frequently updated than normal web page. Though, blogs are not similar to dynamic pages like webboards or forums because they are contentful and are usually in medium length. Since blogs are updated so often, search engines must update their indexes as fast as possible. How to do that? Polling is not good enough in this situation so someone proposed asynchronous solution to solve this problem. The result is XML-RPC Ping service. This solution pushed additional duty to content publishers or content management software so Ping server will be notified about the update of given URL.

Blog widgets in Typepad

Widgets are going to be so popular. Typepad is trying to promote the widget concept to the blog engine, Typepad itself. In the past, bloggers have to modify template or manually add each html snippet generated by the service providers to a block. If you don’t know what service providers are, the very basic ones are counter services, FeedBurner, Flickr, Technorati and many more. Typepad’s blog widgets are the best solution for newbies who want to add pieces of codes to their blog without know-how.

If you want to be always in-trend, don’t miss . Now Google is broadcasting a kind of TV program via cable, satellite and on the net. So what’s about its content? The content is very useful for all of us to realize hot topics at the moment. They are not just public events or news around the world but they are expressions of most people on the net. This information is called  which is usually released annually on new year only. Every search engines release this kind of rank of the year. However, Google now releases its Zeitgeist every 30 minutes. Cool!

Choosing a Blog Engine (Part 3)

If you are serious to blog, I don"t think you will like to use IE or Firefox to post your blogs effectively, me too. That"s why my third criteria is XML-RPC capablity. If you just want to blog, blog, blog, and blog, most of pure blog engine supports XML-RPC. For more detail, there are 2 XML-RPC APIs listed below.

  1. Blogger Atom API
  2. MetaWeblog API

Actually, you might see the extended version of MetaWeblog API in form of mt. Don"t think that it stands for MovableType, instead it is Meta. Blogger Atom API is the first innovative XML-RPC APIs for publishing data on website through remote interface invented by Pyra Labs (now Google). Anyway, it doesn"t support lots of features:
