I am a programmer and I also would like to teach all I know for years to my son. He is 5 years old and know a little bit English. Actually, I want to try teaching Python but it might be too difficult for a kids who are not familiar to English language. I don't know which the best language for kid but my first programming language is Logo so I decied to give it a try.

I have a chance to think about developing web application and a question just popped in my mind. Actually, programming looks like fighting in a war which we are going to move forward to the goal. There are so many obstacles along the way. However, just like in the war which we have a set of weapons, we have libraries, frameworks and systems instead. The question is what weapon such each library or framework or system look like in the war.

Caution! Below are just my intuition so read at your own risk and don't trust me.

ASX is usually referred to a kind of media streaming service based on Microsoft protocol. It is not the standard format recognized in Linux environment. However, it is possible to play ASX on Linux using Mplayer with a simple trick.

If you have ever watched any interlaced video, you might found that watching interlaced video on LCD is not funny at all. There are too many lines periodically appearing on screen and you have to watch them line by line. So it would be better to deinterlace them to watch smooth frames. Since I usually play video files in Mplayer, I will show you how to deinterlace in Mplayer.

Well, my first game console was NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) aka Famicom. Actually, it was also my last game console too because at that time, NES made my scores in a midterm look like a nightmare. In addition, I just found that my specialty is not the skill for playing game. Even Mario Brother, I was unable to finish it. Don't blame me yet. I have one game cleared. It is Legend of Kage because it could be finished by just jumping around to skip some quests and enemies. Anyway, it is a good experience for me to try game console and NES also inspired me to try making some electronic devices myself. Then I later developed myself from analog to digital world next year later before switched completely to computer system. These experiences helped me to understand how a computer works from the ground to the top level and they benefit me for all my life. Anyway, it is not easy to find NES to play by now. Recent game consoles, e.g., PS1, PS2, PS3, and its family, are not exactly what I want. In short, I feel like they are just overkill for me. The only solution for me is to play NES games through emulator. However, playing games using keyboard may destroy keyboard quickly especially my laptop keyboard. So I find a USB gamepad to game NES game with the most pleasure.

To all readers, I'm very glad to announce the first anniversary of this site. At that time, I just want to have a place to store my experiences to share with everyone else and I would like to try Drupal.
