One of the most popular video format in recent years is Flash Video or so called FLV because it supports streaming over the web architecture using normal http protocol. In another point of view, 3GP is widely used in mobile phone because it is very small and efficient for small screen like mobile phone. The technology is going to emerge someday. 3GP would be available on the web for massive distribution. The best approach for publishing video on the web is to use FLV. I will give an example of unattended command for converting any video files including 3GP to FLV using Mencoder.

ASX is usually referred to a kind of media streaming service based on Microsoft protocol. It is not the standard format recognized in Linux environment. However, it is possible to play ASX on Linux using Mplayer with a simple trick.

Just another screencast to show how easy to install Drupal 4.7 on Windows using Apache, MySQL and phpMyAdmin. From the screencast, it took about 3 minutes to install from scratch including download the package. Most of this installation time was spent for configuring database user. So, it would be easier on Linux if he just uses mysql_setpermission to create database and grants privilege to the demo user.
